Timbuktu

This was our first and for the moment only print magazine. the link on the home page will take you to our new  free online magazine.

Visit Timbuktu online now  Bob and I are no longer continuing with the print version of Timbuktu.  After much talking and soul searching we have decided not to continue with a print magazine as we find we do not have enough time or financial resources to maintain the standard we have set ourselves.

This means that issue two is now cancelled.  We would like to thank all our supporters and contributors and apologise to those of you who were expecting to be published in issue 2.

What we wanted to do initially was to create a place where people could talk about identity, culture and race through the medium of art and writing.  That feeling we had hasn?t changed, but we find ourselves under resourced and very limited.  We have had to learn all sorts of things from scratch but our willingness to learn hasn?t been enough to run a magazine.  It requires a good deal more.

We have established however a network of wonderful writers from all over the globe. And we have spent a great deal of time talking to people individually and have made many friends.

If any of you are interested in having your work published on our website, we would love to hear from you as we are hoping to continue our project on line.  With thanks for all your support.
